HOUSE of CASTELLO®
The Campbell Family Textile Story
Since 1935
The HOUSE of CASTELLO® is a family‑owned textile manufacturer shaped by nearly a century of craftsmanship, discipline, and continuity.
Across three generations, the Campbell family has remained committed to a single principle: quality must be built deliberately and protected without compromise.

First Generation
William Campbell
William Campbell entered the textile trade in Montreal at the age of fourteen, beginning his career in a small jobbing operation that bought and sold textiles by the pound. Through hands‑on experience and practical knowledge, the business gradually evolved into a fabricating facility under his guidance.
Following the passing of family leadership, William continued to support the operation throughout his early career, with the exception of his service during World War II. Despite the security of a long tenure at T. Eaton Co., he ultimately made the decision to devote himself fully to the family business.
Under William’s leadership, the company developed into a respected cut‑and‑sew manufacturing operation, producing specialty goods for distinguished partners including Seagram’s, Chanel, Avon, and Exxon.

Second Generation
Richard W. Campbell
Chairman
Richard Campbell began working in the business at twelve years old, splitting his time between school and the Montreal factory floor. As the company expanded, he recognized hospitality as its most demanding and defining opportunity.
By focusing on table linens and service textiles, Richard expanded the company’s reach beyond local manufacturing into national and international markets. Partnerships with Air Canada, Hilton Hotels, Westin Resorts, and Four Seasons marked a turning point, as the company introduced outside sales representation and entered the global hospitality sector.
In pursuit of the highest quality, the company evaluated textile mills worldwide, ultimately discovering a small Italian manufacturer founded in the same year — 1935. This shared heritage and respect for craftsmanship became the foundation of what is now the HOUSE of CASTELLO®, a family‑controlled group producing premium bed, bath, and table linens.

Third Generation
R. Taylor Campbell
Vice Chairman
Taylor Campbell joined the company at the beginning of the new millennium, starting in warehouse operations before serving in executive leadership roles including Vice President, COO, CEO, and now Vice Chairman.
Building on the foundations established before him, Taylor refined the company’s focus exclusively toward the highest tier of luxury hospitality and private clients. Under his leadership, CASTELLO® has served partners including Aman Resorts, Ritz‑Carlton, Fairmont Hotels, Four Seasons Hotels, MGM Resorts International, and Seabourn Cruise Line.
His approach emphasizes consistency across properties, long‑term relationships, and disciplined service systems that support global operations without sacrificing craftsmanship or control.
The House Today
Today, the HOUSE of CASTELLO® designs and manufactures luxury bed, bath, table, and accessory textiles for homes, hospitality, designers, and private‑label partners worldwide.
